Landwell‘s 5 Authentication Methods and Their Combinations

Do you have keys? Is there physical keys taking important roles in your business? Are their storage, their management and their transaction secure? Whether you’re a large company, a small business, or even a homeowner, managing physical keys securely has become a top priority. As technology advances, electronic key cabinets have become a reliable solution for controlling, managing, and tracking keys. Whether you have one key or thousands, Landwell key system helps ensure that only those you trust – whether employees, tenants or customers – have access to them.

Landwell solutions provide an additional layer of security by integrating multi-factor user authentication methods such as facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, RFID card access and PIN codes.

Here’s how Landwell works: Keys are stored in an electronic key cabinet, which can hold anywhere from a few to hundreds of keys. All keys are bound to unique and identifiable RFID key fobs. Users can authenticate themselves in one of several ways to access the keys they need, and can only access authorized keys. The system automatically records all key removals and returns. Because you and your team always know who holds which key, Landwell key systems can help you save time and energy and focus on those core business that are more valuable.

In the Landwell Key system, when creating a new user, you can choose the desired method for the user to authenticate themselves. Authentication methods can change as business processes and needs change.

1. Password

As the ancient security measure, passwords still maintain strong vitality and are retained in almost all security fields. The password of the Landwell key system can be 0-9, a-z, and some special characters. As for its length, we stipulate that it should be between 3 and 11 (inclusive), achieving a balance between security and ease of use. In order to make any user feel safe and trustworthy, whether he is an administrator, an ordinary user or a customized software role, we stipulate that administrators cannot arbitrarily change user passwords once they are added.

In addition, in certain cases, we will use non-standard products or services to enable you and your team members to use dynamic one-time passwords to enter the system and remove designated keys.

2. Staff Card

If the key cabinet system is used entirely by employees within the enterprise, using employee cards for identity verification may be a more convenient option. By simply swiping the card at a designated reader, the Landwell electronic key locker verifies the user’s authorization, granting or denying access accordingly. This approach provides convenience because individuals do not need to remember complex authentication details or carry a large number of keys.

Both ID access control cards and ISO14443A type employee cards can be recognized by the key system’s reader. We are open to uncertain or special types of employee cards and readers. You only need to provide samples or detailed specifications files, and we can tailor a compliant solution for you.

3. Facial Recognition

Facial recognition is a cutting-edge technology integrated into electronic key lockers that utilizes facial features captured by high-resolution cameras to verify a user’s identity. This method does not require a physical card or remembering a PIN. With just a glance, authorized personnel can quickly access necessary keys while increasing efficiency and security.

4. Fingerprint

Fingerprint scanning is another popular user authentication method used by electronic key lockers. By scanning a person’s unique fingerprint pattern, these cabinets can grant or deny access to the keys stored within them. The implementation of fingerprint scanning completely eliminates the vulnerabilities of traditional key lockers, such as stolen or lost keys. It ensures that only authorized individuals have access to keys, providing a high level of security.

5. Finger Vein

Finger vein biometrics, relies on capturing images of the veins inside one’s hand by shining near-infrared light on their fingers. This makes it almost impossible to counterfeit. In addition, blood flow in the veins during identification ensures that the individual is alive and real, rather than a fraudster.

Landwell electronic key cabinets feature a beautiful design that blends seamlessly into any environment. This cabinet securely manage hundreds of keys, effectively managing access and accountability. Each user’s activity is carefully logged, allowing administrators to track and monitor key usage, further enhancing security and ensuring compliance.

In summary, electronic key cabinets, such as Landwell innovative solution, revolutionize key control and management. By combining multi-factor user authentication methods such as facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, RFID card access and PIN codes, these cabinets eliminate many of the vulnerabilities associated with traditional key management systems. As the need for security and efficiency continues to increase, electronic key cabinets have become an indispensable tool for organizations or individuals seeking to ensure maximum control, management and tracking of their physical keys.
